Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Project Engineer to design and evaluate water and wastewater infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support design, permitting, construction administration, and field observations while delivering high-quality deliverables.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, EIT (or ability to obtain), and knowledge of regulatory compliance. Some travel and proactive problem solving are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of post-education experience in water/wastewater/environmental infrastructure.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain.
• Working knowledge of water/wastewater engineering principles and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with permit applications, compliance docs, or regulatory coordination.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate water transmission and distribution systems and treatment facilities.
• Support design, permitting, construction administration, and field observation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on water/wastewater projects.
• Assist with calculations, permits, compliance docs, RFIs, and technical memoranda.
• Maintain quality control standards for design deliverables and reports.
• Assist with scoping of small- to medium-sized projects.
• Prepare preliminary engineering reports and presentations.
