Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment plant retrofit, design build, progressive design built, etc.
- Work on engineering planning, design, and manage projects of medium to large size for Municipal and Water Districts clients in the region
- Manage a variety of pipeline materials including: ductile iron, steel, PVC, HTPE, etc. for yard-piping projects
- Design Management of Water / Wastewater Treatment systems (I.e. Digesters, Tertiary Treatment systems, Clarifiers, Storage Tanks, etc.)
- Assist in client relations and business development pursuits across the south Florida region
- Prepare reports, develop plans, and specifications
- Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
- Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
- Permitting and preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
- Data entry and analysis
- Provide engineering services during construction
- Participate in field activities, when needed (limited amount of travel required)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- 4-10 years of experience in water / wastewater treatment plant design and project management engineering
- 3+ years in Project Management for municipalities / water districts in south Florida (i.e. South Florida Water Management District, Broward County, Palm Beach County)
- Strong design of Water/Wastewater treatment systems for municipal clients
- Extensive experience with large diameter pipe and directional drilling
- Experience with designing, planning, and commissioning of Ultra-Violet (UV) treatment systems for municipal Wastewater
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (+)
