Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group – Pressure is seeking a Technical Procurement Analyst for Water & Wastewater Infrastructure in Grand Prairie, TX. This individual contributor role supports high-volume project purchasing across facilities, reading engineering drawings and industry specs to translate them into exact purchasing requirements.

You will source and qualify vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and track supplier performance using ERP (IFS) and the Purchasing Tracker.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and industry standards tied to pressure pipe manufacturing.
• Proven negotiation skills for price, terms, and lead time optimization.
• Experience qualifying alternative materials/suppliers and managing ongoing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings/specs and ensure purchasing requirements align with drawings.
• Source, qualify, and manage suppliers for steel, cement, resin, and related components.
• Issue POs, track acknowledgments, and monitor supplier schedules for on-time delivery.
• Analyze daily demand in ERP and Purchasing Tracker to identify shortages and drive actions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to meet cost targets and schedules.
