Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have some understanding of water and wastewater operations or quickly learn how to handle chemicals, understand biological control for wastewater treatment and water treatment.
• Ability to diagnose and correct problems and make mechanical repairs.
• Water and wastewater treatment experience must be achieved in determined time. Trainee status accepted but must obtain proper license level within determined time allowed.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and document at the water and wastewater plants.
• Ensure safe potable water is provided and wastewater effluent meets guidelines.
