Job summary

Nexus Water Group, a leading water and wastewater utility, invites applications for an Operator in Training in South Carolina. The role focuses on routine checks, operation of equipment, preventive maintenance, and customer service support for water systems.

You will be mentored to gain certifications and progressively take on field responsibilities. This entry-level position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and readiness to work in field environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certifications must be obtained within the specified period.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of water/wastewater treatment systems under supervision.
• Operate equipment and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, and related plant equipment.
• Respond to customer service calls and service interruptions.
• Install and repair water/wastewater lines and locate underground utilities.
• Assist with field work and use of field equipment safely.
