Job summary

Veolia's Water Tech Business in Michigan seeks a Water Operator 1 to provide operations and maintenance support on water and wastewater treatment systems across industries. You will work with technologies including media filtration, softening, RO, IX, de-oxygenation, electro-deionization and ultrafiltration, and you may unload Process Filter Presses.

This front-line role requires physical aptitude, willingness to work overtime, and strong mechanical know-how.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or international equivalent; 2+ years’ maintenance or service experience in industry.
• Bachelor's or Associate's in Science/Engineering (preferred) or technical instrumentation certificate.

Responsibilities

• Empty Process Filter Presses.
• Power wash pits and equipment; confined space entry as needed.
• Carry out filter changes, cleaning, and operations as directed by Shift Leads.
• Maintain site paperwork and provide work summaries.
