Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a full-time operator to visit contracted treatment plants and oversee operation and maintenance under the licensed supervisor. The role includes sampling, quality assessment, and ensuring compliance with drinking water and wastewater requirements.

You will handle sample storage, chain of custody paperwork, and interaction with DEP officials, with a focus on safety and accuracy in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license in PA is required.
• PA DEP water/wastewater operator certification or passing the certification test within 3 years (full-time) is required.

Responsibilities

• Visit contracted treatment plants as required.
• Under guidance of the licensed operator, conduct operation and maintenance of the treatment plant and effluent quality assessment monitoring.
• Maintain knowledge of sample handling, storage, and drinking water requirements.
• Stay current on sample collection, handling, storage, and related paperwork (chain of custody, work orders).
• Notify supervisor/customers if plant parameters approach or exceed permit levels.
• Demonstrate knowledge of test procedures, QC policies, safety procedures, and ethical responsibilities.
