Job summary

The City of Haines City seeks a Maintenance Worker to support the Maintenance Division in caring for water and wastewater facilities, performing routine checks, equipment maintenance, and odor control methods.

Duties include painting, mowing, landscaping, servicing pumps and motors, removing debris, and assisting technicians. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with at least one year of related experience, strong safety and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; at least 1 year in maintenance or related field.
• Must show attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
• Able to read, write, and document logs, inventory records and work requests.
• Capable of professional communication with staff and public.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of water and wastewater facilities with routine/preventative tasks.
• Perform facility and grounds maintenance: painting, mowing, landscaping, set-up.
• Assist Pump & Motor Technicians with repair, installation, and maintenance; manage signage/flagging.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
