The City of Haines City seeks a Maintenance Worker to support the Maintenance Division in caring for water and wastewater facilities, performing routine checks, equipment maintenance, and odor control methods.
Duties include painting, mowing, landscaping, servicing pumps and motors, removing debris, and assisting technicians. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with at least one year of related experience, strong safety and documentation skills.

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs duties necessary to support the Maintenance Division in performing routine or preventative maintenance at water and wastewater facilities to include, but not limited to, routine checks, painting, mowing, weed eating, oil pump bearings, grease floats, cleaning out lift stations, running generators, cleaning grit screens, and odor control methods.
This position may be required to report for work when a declaration of emergency has been declared in Polk County.
