Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certifications: Class D Water, Class I Wastewater Collection within 2 years; Class II Wastewater Collection and Class C Water Distribution within 4 years.
• Class A CDL required within 1 year; CLP within 90 days.
• Must respond within 1 hour for emergency calls.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Must perform after-hours standby duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater infrastructure including mains, service lines, hydrants, valves, and manholes.
• Installs new water/wastewater service lines, meters, and supports AMI.
• Conducts valve exercises, main flushing, hydrant maintenance, and CCTV inspections for compliance.
• Uses GPS to update water/wastewater data in GIS.
• Enters data into the computerized work order system to support tracking and reporting.
• Operates and maintains departmental vehicles, equipment, and tools safely.
• Provides cross-departmental support as needed.
• Works toward obtaining required licenses/certifications.
