Job summary

B&B Concrete in Orlando is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan infrastructure projects, develop accurate estimates, and partner with operations from bid through project handoff.

You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost—not just perform takeoffs—and contribute to bid reviews, budgets, and supplier buyouts.

This role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with experience in self-performed work and heavy civil construction.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
