Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to lead estimates for treatment facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure, collaborating with operations from bid through handoff.

The ideal candidate will apply self-performed work experience, evaluate scope and constructability, perform takeoffs, analyze costs, and contribute value-engineering ideas to win profitable bids while maintaining project risk controls.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and OST.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, logistics, constructability, and sequencing of projects.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Lead estimating-to-project handoffs and support buyout after award.
