Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Indiana seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing accurate, competitive estimates and partnering closely with operations from bid through project handoff.

Responsibilities include evaluating scope, constructability, risk, and cost, performing quantity takeoffs, and leading budget development and bid reviews to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals; ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, VE ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to set projects up for successful execution.
