Job summary

AE2S, an award-winning civil/environmental firm, offers a Water/Wastewater Internship in Rapid City, SD. You’ll gain real-world experience on water/wastewater projects and collaborate with seasoned engineers.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in civil/environmental engineering, with an emphasis in water/wastewater, and strong verbal/written communication. Flexible schedule and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related degree program.
• An academic focus/emphasis in Water/Wastewater.
• Previous coursework or experience in water, wastewater, or rural water projects.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime and/or weekends if project requires it.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and construction of water/wastewater related projects such as water storage tanks, pump stations, treatment systems, rural water infrastructure, and/or municipal facilities.
• Develop skills in report preparation, design, construction, and client management while supporting water/wastewater related projects.
• Perform construction observation and prepare site reports on water/wastewater related engineering projects.
