Job summary

You'll contribute to planning, design, and construction documentation under supervision, gaining hands-on experience with municipal and industrial infrastructure. The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical thinking, and proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS Pro is a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil or environmental engineering program enrollment.
• Sophomore year completed and enrolled in a 4-year college/university.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Preparing plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Gathering data for engineering reports, studies, permits, and memoranda.
• Coordinate with material and equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Performing calculations related to water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, hydraulic analysis, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling software, ArcGIS Pro and related design tools.
• Conducting field investigations and site visits to verify existing conditions.
• Documenting construction operations and assisting with construction phase services.
• Writing memoranda, letters, or general reports; collecting and correlating data; maintaining records; attending meetings.
