Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites motivated engineering students to join our Water/Wastewater Intern program in Bellevue, WA.

You will gain hands-on experience on projects covering water treatment, distribution, and wastewater conveyance, under supervision from seasoned engineers and project managers. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving and communication skills, plus basic MS Office proficiency.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures that typically include water and wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater conveyance design
• Perform assignments under the guidance and direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager to assist with design calculations, drafting technical reports, preparing project drawings and specifications, project site visits, assist in administration of shop drawing review, respond to Request for Information documents, etc. for projects under construction, water and sewer studies for federal, state, and local municipalities
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform other duties as needed
