Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Akron, Ohio. This internship, beginning May or June 2027, offers hands-on experience in water-related infrastructure projects, working with experienced engineers on site.

Interns gain exposure to assessments, planning, design and construction administration for water and wastewater systems, with opportunities for site visits, client meetings and internal networking.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and at least 2 years of study completed.
• US Citizenship is required to apply for this position.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.

Responsibilities

• Support assessments, planning, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater projects.
• Visit project sites and participate in client meetings.
• Engage in internal networking events.
