Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Water Engineering Designer to join our Water Solutions Team in Alexandria, VA. The engineer will support the design and planning of wastewater treatment, conveyance and distribution projects, and water treatment facilities for regional clients.

You will work under PMs or Client Managers, and assist with field investigations and condition assessments of existing infrastructure. The successful candidate will prepare design/construction documents, participate in team meetings,

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 2–5 years of water and wastewater engineering experience for municipal clients.
• EIT licensure encouraged to be eligible for PE licensure.
• Strong client focus, commitment to innovation, integrity and collaboration in diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineering design and consulting for complex water/wastewater projects, including hydraulic/hydrologic calculations and cost estimation.
• Preparation of design and construction documents for water/wastewater facilities and for conveyance/distribution systems.
• Participate in project teams and mentor staff; contribute to client meetings and presentations of deliverables.
• Support field investigations and condition assessments of existing infrastructure.
