Job summary

Larson Design Group, an ESOP employee-owned firm, seeks a PE-licensed Engineer to lead design activities and QA/QC across design projects in a collaborative environment. A BS/MS in engineering from ABET-accredited programs and at least five years of relevant experience are required.

The role involves coordinating schedules, preparing proposals, and mentoring junior staff, with strong emphasis on technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.) required.
• Five years of job-related experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent planning and design tasks, reviews work of others, and delivers projects to completion.
• Works on technically complex projects and applies advanced knowledge to resolve challenges.
• Maintains collaborative inter-departmental and cross-functional relationships within the project team.
• Conducts initial QA/QC reviews of project submissions to ensure client requirements and standards are met.
• Assists senior management in developing schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
• Communicates effectively with project teams to deliver the scope of work.
• Promotes and supports QA/QC processes to enhance deliverables and reduce design errors.
• Performs and verifies design calculations and prepares cost estimates.
• Develops and manages design budgets for routine scopes of work.
• Provides guidance, training, and support to engineering associates and interns.
