Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Dover, DE, Wilmington, DE, and Philadelphia, PA offices. You will work on diverse infrastructure projects, from planning to construction, improving municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems.

Expect hands-on fieldwork, design, permitting support, and collaboration across disciplines. The ideal candidate holds an ABET‑accredited Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, with 2–5 years of related experience; EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater or other related field
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in water & wastewater or related civil engineering projects, including design, analysis, and studies
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
• Familiar with computer models for hydraulic system analysis
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks
• Perform technical engineering work associated with water and wastewater engineering
• Prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies
• Prepare engineering-related calculations and visual aids
• Develop hydraulic models and perform engineering analysis
• Participate in field investigations
• Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles
• Complete various permitting applications
• Attend meetings with officials, engineers, and contractors
