Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Arkansas team in Bentonville. You will plan, direct and monitor technical aspects of mid-sized pump station and pipeline design projects with a high degree of technical complexity.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, a PE license, and at least 3 years of experience in water and wastewater design. You will work independently and with a project team, upholding HDR's employee-owned culture and

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and monitor technical aspects of mid-sized pump station and pipeline design projects.
• Evaluate techniques and procedures; make design decisions as needed.
• Maintain client relationships with focus on HDR's water credentials.
• Serve as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.
• Coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle; supervise staff as needed.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and train personnel; ensure code compliance with agencies.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies; perform other duties as needed.

HDR Engineering is looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Arkansas team.

The primary duties of the Water/Wastewater Engineer include but are not limited to planning, directing and monitoring technical aspects of mid-sized pump station and pipeline design projects which contain a high degree of technical complexity.

In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Involved with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR's water and wastewater credentials
• Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as needed
• May be involved with coordinating staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
• May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
• Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for the execution of training for personnel as established
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• MS
• A minimum of 3 years experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
• Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
