Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team and support the design and delivery of infrastructure projects focused on water and wastewater facilities.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team from planning through construction, tackling low- and medium-voltage systems, motor controls, lighting, SCADA, and instrumentation, with opportunities to progress toward PE licensure in a collaborative hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with low-voltage electrical power systems.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards.
• Working knowledge of electrical calculations and design fundamentals.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Prepare SCHEMATICS, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, load calculations.
• Assist with plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support low- and medium-voltage power systems design including UPS and battery systems.
• Coordinate with utility providers for new services.
• Perform photometric calculations and lighting layouts with software.
• Support QA/QC on deliverables and field investigations.
• Assist with construction-phase services and submittals.
• Collaborate across multiple offices and PE licensure pursuit.
