Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Coordinator to help plan, design, and rehabilitate pump facilities and networks in the United States, with focus on Oklahoma City. You will assist engineers, conduct analyses, and prepare reports for water and wastewater systems.

The role requires AutoCAD/MicroStation and Microsoft Office skills, a collaborative mindset, and alignment with HDR’s employee-owned culture. Local candidates preferred for this on-site position in Oklahoma City.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water/wastewater and stormwater pump facilities under instruction from the Project Engineer or responsible charge.
  • Support condition assessments and rehabilitation planning for existing pump station infrastructure.
  • Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.
  • Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.
  • Perform field investigations, site visits, and construction observation to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Water/Wastewater Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain.
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Water/wastewater/water resources project experience, focus on water/wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines, or water resources/stormwater preferred.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
