Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator to help design water and wastewater systems in our Missouri offices. You’ll work under the Project Engineer to develop plans, write specifications, and review quality for owner-focused solutions.

A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (master’s preferred), an EIT certificate, and experience with BIM tools such as Revit, Civil 3D and Bluebeam are ideal. You’ll join our employee-owned culture that values collaboration, safety, and delivering sustainable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Interest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systems.
  • Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with others.
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection and distribution systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
  • Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator, we’ll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D experience
  • Bluebeam PDF software experience
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field

  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
