Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator to join our Water Business Group in Kansas City, MO. You will help design water and wastewater systems under guidance from a Project Engineer and contribute to plans, specs, and reports.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater systems under guidance from the Project Engineer.
• Prepare plans, write specifications, and analyze reports for water and wastewater systems.
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Water/Wastewater EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems and collection and distribution systems under instruction from the Project Engineer
• Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
• Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D experience
• Bluebeam PDF software experience
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools
• Microsoft Office experience
