Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State-issued Water & Wastewater Operator Certification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.
• Operate sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of sewage.
• Read and interpret meters and gauges that monitor the purification process and operation.
• Operate and maintain water distribution system including servicing of pumps, motors, valves, generators, and equipment.
• Collect and record data for record maintenance.
• Perform facility grounds maintenance including cleaning equipment and tanks, cutting grass, and other housekeeping duties.
• Work overtime and on-call rotation as needed.
