We’re seeking a mid-level Water & Wastewater Design Engineer to join our team and help plan and design critical infrastructure systems; including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and more. In this role, you’ll contribute to a variety of moderately complex projects, performing tasks such as pressure and flow calculations, designing piping systems, specifying equipment, and coordinating with agencies and stakeholders. With limited oversight, you’ll prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates to guide projects from concept to construction. We're looking for a motivated professional with strong organizational and communication skills, a desire to grow technically, and full proficiency in drafting and design software for water/wastewater systems. Project Delivery

Produces the following independently:

• Water distribution system, sewer collection system, and transient event hydraulic modeling
• Hydraulic calculations
• System curves and pump selection
• Technical memoranda
• Alternatives/economics analysis for water/sewer/pipeline/storage projects
• CAD/GIS/P3D drawings
• Project specifications
• provide construction inspection including field reports and pay estimates

Understanding Budget and Schedule

Strong understanding of scopes, schedules, and budgets. Able to predict and deliver individual tasks within a set level of effort. Able to consistently meet budget and schedule expectations on projects.

Industry Standards and Regulations

Proficiently selects from and employs the following design codes:

• Governing state water/WW rules
• AWWA standards (water)
• NFPA820 Fire Code for WW Facilities
• 10 state standards
• LT2 SWTR

Client Interaction

Frequent client communications. Resolves issues on small projects, attends client meetings and consistently uses situationally appropriate communication tools (e.g., email versus phone versus in-person).

Performs moderate to advanced levels of technical work on larger and more complex projects as assigned by the market sector. Operates with a moderate level of autonomy. May assist with some project management tasks.
