Job summary

RK&K's Water/Wastewater Group in Richmond, VA is seeking an Engineer to design water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations for municipal projects. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers in a truly collaborative environment to support our clients.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, 1–5 years' experience, and FE/EIT certification or the plan to obtain PE within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–5 years' experience in water distribution and wastewater systems.
• FE/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 1 year, with path to PE.

Responsibilities

• Design water/wastewater pipelines, pumping stations, and related facilities.
• Perform technical evaluations to support planning and design.
• Prepare memos, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct field testing and investigations.
• Support construction with submittal review and RFI management.
• Assist with task management within the project team.
• Coordinate with RK&K disciplines and subconsultants.
