Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Ames, IA, is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer, EIT, to join our Water/Wastewater team. You will support project managers and engineers on design and construction activities for municipal facilities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering with water/wastewater focus.
• Certified Engineer-in-Training or able to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with water or wastewater treatment preferred.
• Proficient CAD and design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, REVIT).

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with design and construction activities on municipal projects.
• Perform basic design computations, preliminary layouts, and feasibility studies.
• Assist with plans, specifications, and take-off estimates.
• Support construction observation and coordination with contractors and City staff.
