Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking an Engineering Designer for its Water/Wastewater team in Wilmington, NC. You will provide technical and design services within a project team, preparing drawings, specs, and bid documents, under the supervision of the Project Manager.

The role requires a degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering and an Engineering Intern or EIT certification, plus strong organizational, writing, and communication skills. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Process-oriented with strong organization and technical skills.
• Good communication and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and design services as part of a project team.
• Conduct technical evaluations for projects.
• Prepare design computations and assessments.
• Produce design/construction drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Report to Project Manager and coordinate with the design team.
• Complete tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Stay current with design standards and regulations.

Education

Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
