POSITION SUMMARY:
The Water/Wastewater Senior Engineering Technician is a professional with 2 to 5 years of experience and an EIT certificate. This individual will plan, design, and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as water mains, sanitary mains, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. The technician should be self-motivated, possess good writing skills, and be capable of working in a team environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Hydraulic calculations and layout of structures.
2. Produce correspondence, reports, and biddable documents for water distribution, wastewater systems, treatment plants, wells, storage tanks, and pumping stations.
3. Provide engineering support to inspection departments.
4. Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.
5. Identify problems proactively with detailed analysis and effective resolution.
6. Assist in producing regulatory permitting applications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

1. Working towards PE certification with EIT.
2. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
3. Take pride in work efforts and outputs.
4. Seek guidance when needed to meet deliverables.
5. Balance group and individual work effectively.
6. Effective communication, management, and writing skills.
7. Proficiency in Word and Excel; AutoCAD skills are a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED:

• EIT or working towards PE.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Typically works in the field, exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Computer/technology use is required for documentation. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

The annual salary range is $61,000 - $91,500, based on role, level, and location. Compensation is determined by skills, experience, education, and training.
