POSITION SUMMARY:
The Water/Wastewater Senior Engineering Technician is a professional with 2 to 5 years of experience and an EIT certificate. This individual will plan, design, and perform analysis on water and wastewater engineering projects such as water mains, sanitary mains, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. The Technician should be self-motivated, possess good writing skills, and be capable of working in a team environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Perform hydraulic calculations and layout structures.
• Collaborate with a team to produce correspondence, reports, and bid documents for water distribution, wastewater systems, treatment plants, wells, storage tanks, and pumping stations.
• Provide engineering support to the inspection department.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery within budgets.
• Proactively identify problems, analyze issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Assist in preparing regulatory permitting applications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Possess an EIT certification and working towards PE licensure.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written forms, including reports and specifications.
• Take pride in producing quality work.
• Seek guidance when necessary to meet deadlines.
• Balance group and individual tasks effectively.
• Exhibit strong communication, management, and writing skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; AutoCAD skills are a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED:

• EIT certification; working towards PE.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The role involves fieldwork, exposure to weather conditions, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Computer use is required for documentation and reporting.
