Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Design Associate for the Water/Wastewater team in Denver. You will perform detailed drafting and design work using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit, supporting pump stations, piping, and treatment facility projects.

Expect independent work with potential supervision of junior staff and client coordination. Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in drafting or related field, with 8+ years using Civil 3D and/or Revit.

Qualifications

Proven ability to work well on a team in a design environment.
Strong ownership of work and accountability for deliverables.
Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills for complex design tasks.

Responsibilities

Performs detailed design work on projects including drawings and layouts, reviewing specs and performing design calculations.
Conducts research on design concepts and develops approaches to enhance project design work.
Performs complex CAD assignments and ensures designs align with project objectives and quality standards.
May review drawings, prepare project cost estimates, and attend client meetings.
Maintains project documentation including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
Assists in environmental impact studies and related assessments.
May supervise and review work for less experienced staff.
May work in various terrains and weather conditions at project sites.
