STV Incorporated is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for our Water/Wastewater division in the Bryan/College Station, TX area. The successful candidate will support current staff and help grow the W/WW Inspection practice statewide, mentoring junior staff and expanding STV’s service offerings geographically.

This role involves on-site observation of large diameter W/WW installations, review of plans, coordination with contractors, and enforcement of safety and regulatory

Qualificações

• 5+ years of inspection or construction experience.
• Broad expertise or unique knowledge in construction concepts.
• Ability to handle significant issues requiring evaluation of intangibles.
• Uses independent judgment in methods and criteria for results.
• Contacts often involve coordination among groups.
• Occasionally provides consultation to management on important matters.
• Occasionally supervises other personnel.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and perform observation of large diameter water/wastewater projects per inspector's expertise.
• Conduct on-site observations for materials, grade elevations, underground facilities, safety, erosion controls.
• Review plans, encroachment permits, and other project plans affecting assigned work.
• Attend meetings to discuss construction details and resolve issues with contractors.
• May take field measurements and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist in coordinating materials testing and identify on-site problems.
• Monitor progress and flag non-conformances to project team.
• Recommend contract/plan adjustments to fit field conditions.
• Document daily diaries and material quantities; assist in payment approvals.
• Investigate citizen complaints related to encroachment or grading.
