Job summary

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Sacramento, CA for Summer 2027. This is not a remote position.

Interns will use AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro or GIS to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients. You will contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, permitting, and analysis, solving complex problems and collaborating with project managers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• In the process of obtaining an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in civil/environmental or related fields.
• Majors include Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems and collaborate with project managers and disciplines to realize client visions.
• Learn regulatory practices and Kimley-Horn standards while gaining project experience.
