Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineer (EI) to support planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure in Fort Wayne, IN. This role targets Engineers Intern advancing toward Professional Engineer licensure with opportunities to lead design tasks.

You will work with PMs and PEs, gain project exposure, and develop technical and leadership skills, with a clear path to PE and higher roles in the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering is required.
• EI certification with FE exam passed.
• 3–5 years of professional engineering experience in water and wastewater projects.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses.
• Prepare reports, technical documents, and deliverables.
• Develop and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance; conduct field investigations and site visits.
• Collaborate with managers and engineers; mentor developing engineers.
