Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Engineer Intern with water and wastewater design experience for a path toward Professional Engineer licensure. You will work with Project Managers and senior engineers on planning, design, and construction of critical water infrastructure, while mentoring junior engineers and growing leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Engineer Intern (EI) certification (FE Exam Passed).
• 3–5 years of professional engineering experience with water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical analyses.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical documents, and project deliverables.
• Develop and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance activities.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction support activities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and senior engineers throughout project execution.
• Provide guidance and support to developing engineers and project team members.
