Job summary

The City of Aurora, CO is seeking an Engineer I/II to support Aurora Water’s Planning and Development Review Teams. You will review water, sanitary, and storm plans for compliance and participate in page-turn meetings with supervision.

Engineer II expands responsibilities, attends meetings, and conducts pre-acceptance reviews, with a salary commensurate to experience. This is an on-site role within Aurora Water facilities and city offices.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Two years of relevant experience for Engineer II; none required for Engineer I.
• Certification as an EI/EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months for Engineer I; already in place for Engineer II.

Responsibilities

• Review water, sanitary, and storm components in development applications for compliance with City standards.
• Attend project meetings and represent the utility review function.
• Perform pre-acceptance reviews of civil plan submittals for completeness and compliance.
