Performs heavy manual, semi-skilled, and skilled work in installation, maintenance, construction, operation, modification, repair, and testing of water and sewer systems; operates various tools and equipment; inspects sewer lines using CCTV; maintains and repairs system facilities; responds to emergency calls; and performs related duties.
Applicants must meet either Option A or Option B:
Substitutions for experience include certifications or coursework as specified. Proof of qualifications must be uploaded with the application.
Valid driver’s license, Class B CDL with tanker endorsement before probation completion, and the ability to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.
Current water or sewer maintenance certifications issued by CWEA or California Department of Public Health.
Application review and written exam, with a passing score of 70. Veterans may receive additional scoring points. The eligible list is valid for one year.
