Job summary

The City of Winter Haven is seeking a Business Analyst to serve as an analytical bridge between departmental data, financial planning, and water utility operations. You will gather, analyze, and report business intelligence to support budget and performance decisions.

You will collaborate with city leadership, build queries, manage data across sources, and produce dashboards and documentation. A BA/BS in a related field and 2–3 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of two to three years of progressively responsible professional experience in data analysis, financial analysis, utility accounting, or business process improvement.
• Possession of valid Florida Driver's License and ability to meet essential job requirements; substitution allowed for equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Bridge data, financial planning, and water operations by gathering, analyzing, and reporting business intelligence.
• Assist leadership with budget preparation, revenue and expenditure tracking, and performance monitoring for efficiency.
• Develop database queries, extract data, transform and troubleshoot BI tools to identify trends and cost drivers.
• Prepare clear statistical reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership and public audiences.
