Job summary

HEI Civil is seeking an experienced Water Truck Driver to join our Waco, TX team. This role supports our heavy civil projects by delivering water for dust suppression, grading, and utility installation, while ensuring safety and DOT compliance.

You will operate a water truck (GVW >26,000 lbs), perform pre/post trip inspections, maintain logs, and coordinate with foremen and equipment operators to meet daily water distribution needs on site.

Qualifications

• CDL class A or B license required; Class A preferred.
• DOT Medical Certificate (Medical Card) required.
• Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction or heavy civil environments.
• Satisfactory driving record meeting company and insurance requirements.
• Pre-employment screenings in accordance with policy.
• Experience operating water trucks or large commercial vehicles in construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a water truck to support construction activities.
• Drive vehicles with GVW over 26,000 lbs.
• Deliver water for dust suppression and site operations.
• Fill and distribute water using pumps, valves, and spray systems safely.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report deficiencies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and DOT-compliant records.
