Position Overview

We are a CRH Company specializing in construction materials. This skilled position involves the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks, end dumps and/or belly dumps, with or without pup trailers and tarping systems. Drivers will deliver aggregates, asphalt, and other materials to both residential and commercial locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thorough operational knowledge and skills of end dumps and/or belly dumps, with and without pup trailers, and related equipment.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep time and material records.
  • Follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Have knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates.
  • Move and back with pup trailer.
  • Communicate effectively on the radio system.
  • Connect and disconnect pup trailer.
Qualifications
  • Education / Experience
    • High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
  • Certificates, License, Registrations
    • Valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements.
    • Valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
  • Work Requirements
    • 1–2 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
    • Incident‑free driving record preferred.
    • May be subject to drug and alcohol, medical exams and physical agility testing.
  • Knowledge / Skill Requirements
    • Ability to communicate using two‑way radio.
    • Basic math.
    • Basic computer skills preferred.

Physical Requirements

The employee frequently sits, climbs, and uses hands to signal and handle equipment. Occasionally, the employee stands, walks, crawls, kneels, bends, and reaches with hands and arms above the shoulders, and lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The work environment includes wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, exterior weather conditions, and extreme cold or heat. Noise level is usually moderate.
