Job summary

MacLellan Integrated Services in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Water Treatment Technician to operate water treatment plant equipment, ensure reliability, economy, and compliance with all effluent requirements at the site.

You will work under the site WTT Contract Manager, handling batch tank treatment, pH control, sand filter operation, reverse osmosis systems, and related chemical feed processes while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with cartridge respirator use.
• Physically demanding role; able to work in hot, damp environments and wear heavy PPE.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate water treatment plant equipment to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Perform batch tank treatment, pH control, and sludge processing.
• Manage chemical feed systems, pumps, valves, and RO systems.

About You:

As a Water Treatment Technician, you are part of Best People . You are one of the subject matter experts as it relates to operating the water treatment plant equipment to ensure reliability, economy, and compliance with all effluent requirements at the site. You report to our site WTT Contract Manager to monitor and adjust plant operation including specific chemical treatment processes using pumps, valves, motors, and chemical feed systems. As the Water Treatment Technician, your primary processes include batch tank treatment of process wastewater, clarification, plate and frame sludge processing, pH control, sand filter operation, reverse osmosis system, skid mounted clean-in-place systems, E-coat treatment, oil separation, and paint sludge systems including chemical feed pumps, sludge bag removal, and water testing. Your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to our world-class customer service reputation. Necessary Water Treatment Technician Skills:

• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and bend throughout the shift
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Necessary Water Treatment Technician Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience performing work using a cartridge type respirator
• Must be able to hold and operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time.
• This is a physically demanding job must be able to work in hot and damp environments, wear heavy PPE, climb stairs, push equipment, and stand/walk for extended periods of time.

Pre-Employment Drug Testing Notification and Policy:

• After a conditional offer of employment, all job applicants at MacLellan Integrated Services will undergo testing for the presence of illegal drugs.
• Applicants will be required to submit voluntarily to a urine specimen test at a laboratory chosen by the Company. Any applicant who refuses to submit to a drug test or is suspected by the lab to have tampered with the specimen will not be considered for employment.
• Prior to testing, an applicant will be given the opportunity to list all prescription drugs used and their purpose. All legal drugs found in a drug test result will be verified by a Medical Review Officer (MRO), who will verify that prescriptions are valid and being used at the prescribed amounts and that said amounts are reflected appropriately in the urine.
