The Water Treatment Sales Consultant will be responsible for identifying, developing, and servicing existing and new accounts in the greater market. They will work closely with our customers to provide water treatment programs tailored to their specific needs. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Develop and perform all sales activities in the assigned territory (i.e., lead generation, cold calling, and appointment setting).
  • Promote and sell maintenance services to new and existing Chem-Aqua customers.
  • Perform “hands-on” servicing of accounts, including chemical testing, calibration and repair of chemical feed equipment, and visual inspections of systems when necessary.
  • Schedule service and sales calls, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Identify new business needs and opportunities, developing and implementing customized solutions for our customers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, College Degree preferred.
  • Experience in water treatment, water hygiene, environmental health and safety, and/or secondary disinfection is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience working with teams from multiple locations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Ability to perform physical work in environments involving chemicals, noise, hot and cold temperatures, and inclement weather.
  • Good physical condition for frequent walking to and from worksites.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including some weekends depending on account servicing.
  • Physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders (up to 30 feet), sometimes while carrying drums of chemicals weighing up to 50 pounds, maintaining 3-point contact per OSHA standards.
  • Wearing protective gear for face, ears, and gloves as required.
