Job summary

City of Pompano Beach is seeking an experienced manager to direct the operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, asset management, and continuous improvement of potable water and reuse treatment facilities. You will oversee OT systems, capital projects, and workforce development to ensure safe and reliable service.

Responsibilities include budgeting, policy implementation, and reporting to City leadership and regulatory agencies, with emphasis on Lean Six Sigma practices and asset

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years' progressively responsible experience in operations and maintenance of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory or administrative experience.
• A comparable combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of minimum qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the operation and maintenance of water treatment and reuse treatment plants, wellfields, and associated infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient utility services.
• Develop and manage budgets and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects; oversee procurement and construction activities.
• Provide operational input for OT systems and cybersecurity improvements; supervise SCADA/automation initiatives to enhance resilience.
• Prepare and present technical, regulatory, and financial reports for City leadership and regulators.
