Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for Drinking Water to contribute to design and analysis of water treatment systems. The internship offers hands-on experience across projects, with potential locations in Tampa, Irvine, Cary (NC), and Charlotte (NC).

The role requires current enrollment in an ABET-accredited chemical or mechanical engineering program and provides exposure to conventional and advanced treatment processes, testing, and data collection.

Qualifications

• No experience required; current enrollment in ABET-accredited Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding including background check, drug screen, and MVR as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Possess knowledge of conventional water treatment and related processes.
• Perform engineering analyses, report production, and design support.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Assist in basic equipment selection.
• Collect, organize, and evaluate data.
