Job summary

Mnawwa in Plymouth, MN is seeking a skilled Water Operations Technician to oversee the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of municipal water treatment plants, wells, pumping and storage facilities, and related systems. The role requires independent judgment, adherence to safety, and strong coordination with OT/SCADA platforms.

Responsibilities include monitoring water quality, adjusting treatment processes, handling chemical feed, and staying compliant with MDH regulations.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to operate, monitor and maintain water treatment facilities.
Ability to obtain/maintain MDH certifications within required timeframes.
Experience with SCADA, OT and data acquisition systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor municipal water treatment, wells, storage and distribution systems.
Maintain safe, reliable operations during maintenance and outages.
Collect and analyze water quality data and ensure regulatory compliance.
Respond to alarms and emergencies with timely corrective actions.
Provide training and guidance to other staff as assigned.
