Job summary

Alutiiq, LLC is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator in Pensacola, FL to monitor and operate water treatment facilities. You will control equipment, adjust chemicals, and ensure compliance with Navy policies and Florida regulations.

The role requires a Florida license and at least five years of experience, with strong attention to safety, data recording, and teamwork. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

Must possess a Florida Class C or higher Water Treatment Plant Operator license.
Minimum five (5) years experience as a water plant operator.
High School diploma or equivalency.
Valid state driver’s license, driving record, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Operates and controls water treatment plant equipment to treat water for human consumption and industrial use.
Monitors pumps, valves, gauges, and adjusts flow and chemicals to maintain water quality.
Releases treated water into distribution system after compliance checks.
Maintains records and completes work orders daily.
Calibrates testing analyzers and operates related machinery (air blowers, generators, etc.).
Adheres to OSHA safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
