Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Cedar Water Treatment Facility in Renton, WA. The role oversees plant operations and lab practices, diagnosing issues and directing corrective actions to maintain safe, compliant drinking water processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in water/wastewater facility operation, supervisory experience, and strong budgeting, scheduling, and data analysis skills. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Washington State Level 3 or 4 Water Treatment Certification, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire
• Five (5) plus years of experience in the operation of water or wastewater facilities
• Supervisory experience at a drinking water treatment facility
• Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong technical problem-solving skills
• Experience with planning, scheduling and inventory control
• Experience developing and working within an approved budget. Specifically tracking costs, adjusting activities to stay on budget, and optimizing labor and materials
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Valid State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations and laboratory practices of the facility
• Diagnose operating problems and direct correction procedures
• Prepare required reports and maintain recordkeeping procedures
• Analyze instrument readings and laboratory test results to optimize plant processes
• Supervise, evaluate and train employees
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety practices
