Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible water treatment or wastewater treatment experience; two (2) years in supervisory roles.
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
• Valid California State Water Resources Control Board Water Treatment Operator T4 Certificate.
• Valid California State Water Resources Control Board Water Distribution Operator D3 Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Manage City water treatment facilities, blending stations, maintenance operations, and regulatory programs.
• Coordinate divisional activities with other divisions and agencies; prepare staff reports and required documents.
• Conduct financial, organizational, and service-delivery studies and address issues.
• Present information to boards, groups or committees and communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with laws, permits, safety policies, and provide technical direction to staff.
